Calash is pleased to announce that it has provided commercial due diligence services to environmental consultancy APEM, and its private equity partner WestBridge, with commercial due diligence services regarding its acquisition of GoBe Consultants, an offshore wind planning and environmental consultancy.
Manchester-based APEM will acquire the GoBe Consultants to complement its recent purchases of Woodrow (07/2021) and AQUAFACT (2022). The latest transaction will create a combined entity set to generate this year an EBITDA of GBP 8m, compared to GBP 2m in 2019, and a headcount of 380 people.
Calash provided commercial due diligence on the deal on behalf of WestBridge and APEM, including a detailed review of the target’s business activities, service demand from existing and adjacent markets and a full competitive benchmarking exercise.
The Calash team included Rob Neves, Mario Petrov, and Alex Burton.
“We are really grateful for Calash’s support on this project. The team’s experience in the offshore wind market really helped us understand the requirements of current, and potential customers, more fully, and map the global potential that can be unlocked through the combination of these two leading businesses.”
Peter Barkley, Investment Director of WestBridge
